2023 BROADMOOR FALL CLASSIC - NQS

This event will take place in addition to the Broadmoor Open held in June.

The Broadmoor Skating Club has been approved to host an NQS competition event which will take place in September, 2023 in addition to the June event.
Register now for the 2023 Broadmoor Open in June and take advantage of a great training opportunity to prepare for the NQS event. Registration closes May 3, 2023.
The 2023 Broadmoor Open will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of U.S. Figure Skating, as set forth in the current rulebook, as well as any pertinent updates that have been posted on the U.S. Figure Skating website. All event elements are as posted in this announcement for the 2023 competitive season.

Practice Ice Information
All practice ice will be available for purchase online through the EMS Skater Portal. A timeline for practice ice sales periods will be available for viewing on the Main page of your skater portal. All skaters are encouraged to purchase practice ice through EMS on their mobile devices!
Fees:
(Freeskate, short program, and combined event -singles, solo dance)
$26.00 per person/per session (official and unofficial sessions)
$20.00 per person/per session (20 min warm up)
(Pairs – Partner Dance)
$26.00 per person/ per session (official and unofficial sessions)
$20.00 per person/per session (20 min warm up)
Aerial Challenge 2023
The 2023 Broadmoor Open is hosting Novice, Junior, and Senior jump events as listed in the announcement. Winners (1st-4th) of each event will be combined into a ladies’ group and a men’s group. These two groups will compete using the following elements:
Double loop
Jump combination – double/double,triple/double,
Double or triple lutz done out of footwork
Monetary prizes will be awarded as follows to the overall ladies and men’s groups:
1st – $100
2nd – $75
3rd – $50
4th – $25
If there are not enough entries, Novice -Senior skaters will be combined and advance directly to the overall round and perform the elements listed above.
Winners (1st-4th) from the overall rounds will receive an invitation to compete in the Fall Aerial Challenge which will take place the end of September at the Broadmoor Fall Classic with bigger cash prizes. (See announcement for this event). This invitation will not be extended to foreign skaters as they are not covered by our sanction.
