Volunteer

• The music player will be able to navigate and operate the Media Monkey media player on a laptop during competition and practice ice. 
• May need to announce simultaneously with playing the music.
• Will need to sit in an ice rink during their shift.
• Music players may not play music during their skater’s competition event.
• This position has a minimum age requirement.

ANNOUNCER
Do you like to watch figure skating? Have you ever secretly wanted to do voice overs or be on the radio? Did you ever put a karaoke machine or Mr. Microphone on a wish-list? Announcing might just be a perfect fit.

• The announcer is responsible for announcing during a competition event or during practice ice sessions.
• During competition the announcer works closely with the Referee of the event and the ice monitors (to get name pronunciations and scratches). 
• May need to play music simultaneously with announcing.
• Will need to sit in an ice rink during their shift. Announcers should become familiar with the Name Pronunciation App. It is a web-based application that is easily accessible from any smart phone or mobile device.
• Announcers may not announce during their skater’s competition event.
• This position has a minimum age requirement.
